If you are serious about having some art created especially for you and you don't have time to wait around on me, head over to either Epilogue or Deviant Art and look around. Epilogue is a more professional site and all of the artist there will expect payment in return. Deviant art is incredibly large and has all ranges of styles and abilities. How come some of your images say that prints are available but there isn't a link to buy them? Truthfully, its because the print isn't really made and sitting around waiting for someone to purchase it. If I list a painting as having prints but there is no "buy" button, that means I'm willing and able to make the prints, I just haven't. Sending me email saying "Hey, I really want X and you don't have it listed yet" is a sure way to get things moving. May I use picture X? Depends what you want to use it for. If you're just looking for something to put up on your personal web page, sure. All I asked is that you keep my name attached and have a link back here. Role playing characters, wallpaper for your desktop, go right ahead. Knock yourself out. That is not saying that I'm okay with the use of my art for public ventures, nor am I relinquishing my copyright in any way, shape or form. If you want to use anything shown here in a publication of any sort, from the lowiest convention flier to a mass marketed book cover, we need to talk. Be warned, I will get quite upset if I find my art being printed up as cross stitch patterns or the like and I will seek monentary damages. One of the benefits of not being a starving artist is that I can afford to protect my work. Tubes and Stationary Okay, so there's been some problems lately with tubers and the like using the above paragraphs as justification to rip my art, modify to no end, remove my name from it and post it all over their bboards. Modifying my artwork does NOT fall under these free use rules. Removing backgrounds, changing the color, cutting away part of the picture, all of these things are ILLEGAL under copyright law and I will get pissy if I find you doing it. Tubers, consider my art to be on the "Do Not Use" list. I appreciate the effort some of you have gone through to contact me for permission and I'm sorry that I can't allow this type of use. So you're saying I can't use picture X as a cover for thing Y? No, but I do require a contract stating the terms of use and payment. Price will depend on what you want to use it for and the expected audience. Obviously, permission to run 50 copies of a club newsletter is going to cost a lot less than a first edition book cover. Drop me an email with your idea and we can probably work something out. I'm not really an ogre like I sound, I've just become rather bitter about the whole "for exposure" line. Please, don't use it. At least come up with something original if your going to be requesting cheap art. Is your last name really Flasher? Yes it is. Hey, have you heard this one "insert stupid joke about flashers here" Please don't. I've heard all of them. No, really. Try going to a large university where they automatically give you your last name as a computer user ID. Within a week, I had over a hundred stupid jokes, dumb rymes and just random idiots emailing me. It got old real fast. It is just a name.
